Process
Research & Analysis: We conducted in-depth user interviews, surveys, and analyzed in-app behavior to pinpoint the challenges and needs of both children and parents. Competitor apps and industry trends were also studied to gather valuable insights for Breadcrumb's development.
Information Architecture: We reorganized the app’s navigation and content based on research, focusing on features that enhance the child’s learning experience while aligning with parental expectations.
Wireframing & Prototyping: We created low-fidelity wireframes to map out the app’s new layout and navigation, refining these designs through iterative user feedback. This process culminated in a high-fidelity, interactive prototype for thorough usability testing
Usability Testing: Conducting usability tests with a diverse group of children and parents allowed us to validate the design. Feedback was used to make necessary adjustments, ensuring the app is intuitive and engaging.
Visual Design & Style Guide: A consistent visual language was developed, including child-friendly color schemes, typography, and iconography. A comprehensive style guide was also created to ensure uniformity in future updates and maintain the app’s cohesive design.
